BIO: In 2003, I was introduced to needlefelting by my friend, Sue Young, a potter in the Adirondacks. I immediately fell in love with this ancient craft, eventually turning it into a business. Starting with only necklaces, over the years I have added felted earrings, bracelets, pins and ornaments. A most popular item is called “Cat Fish”. I recycle old wool sweaters by shrinking and cutting them into a large fish shape - then stuff them with catnip! These wool sweaters are also used to make dog jackets with needlefelted designs. My most recent adventure with felting has been making scarves and hats using the nuno felting technique. I was born in Boston and spent my youth at Fenway Park and Boston Garden rooting for my favorite teams. I live in Beverly with my husband, daughter and our five cats.
