BIO: Relatively new to the pottery world, I recently built and opened an in-home studio and gallery in 2013. I enjoy throwing functional pottery, bowls, mugs and platters. In addition to these, I recently have been creating wall pieces – Codfish, Haddock and Redfish – which connect me to my family’s fishing heritage of Gloucester, Italy and Portugal. I have also been making wall crosses which I was inspired to create through my work with a medical mission group helping the poor in the Dominican Republic. My inspiration comes from my family, my friends, and my faith.

There's an innate desire in every artist to perfect their craft. With me, that comes down to honing my skills for each step: the wheel work, the glazing, the firing. There's a desire to understand. I am at points surprised, delighted, and disappointed by the process, but I am always trying to improve. Please visit my Facebook page, Annisquam River Pottery and let me know what you think.
