BIO: Minnow was started six years ago by sisters-in-law, Kristin and Sarah. At the time Kristin was an almost to be mom with lots of family and friends beginning to have babies. She is a born creator and able sewer so decided to make a blanket for all of the new babies. The blankets were a hit and after discussing some ideas with her sister-in-law Sarah, the idea of a business to market and sell her blankets began.
Kristin is still the creator and sewer of all of our items with her 5 year old Finn and 2 year old Olivia as great helpers. She and her family are based in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Sarah, a graphic designer on the side, has taken to the business side of things in between running around with her 6 year old and 2 year old out in the redwoods of Northern California. Both still love making new mom's and babies happy with the beautiful and durable items they sell.
Minnow Blankets, Booties, Lovies and Minis:
Our blankets are the perfect blanket for snuggling, playing on, traveling with or just loving. With bold graphics and coordinating super soft “minky” plush fabric, this blanket is sure to please everyone. The blankets really hold up over time, even with the day to day wear and tear kids give to their stuff.
Our booties are the perfect addition to any outfit from birth through walking. The sole is made with an ultra suede fabric that makes sure creepers and beginning walkers don’t slide on the floor. There is a velcro closure sewn in that can adjust to fit around their chubby little ankles.
Minnow Lovies are made with the super soft minky fabric we use for the underside of our Minnow Blankets and Pillows. Little Minnow cutouts in our favorite Minnow Fabrics add a splash of fun and color. A velcro loop if perfect for attaching a pacifier or attach it to a stroller or carseat to ensure the Minnow Lovie doesn't get lost on your travels.
Our Minnow Minis are just like our wonderful Minnow Blankets, but smaller! The are perfect lap blanket for chilly little legs in a car seat or stroller or snuggling with in bed. Each Minnow Mini is made with our fun, bold fabrics with coordinating fabric border. The underside has the super soft Minky fabric that all of us love to touch and cuddle with. There is even a velcro tab for securing the Minnow Mini to a car seat, stroller or for attaching a pacifier or toy. The Minnow Minis measure 18 inches square.
