BIO: Barbara has enthusiastically shared her weaving with others through exhibiting, teaching, and lecturing.  Originally trained as an art teacher, invitations have been extended to teach coast to coast.  Articles in professional magazines have expanded communication to many weavers outside her normal realm.

Preferring to weave fabric with a clean simple appearance, she creates original color combinations and achieves texture through carefully chosen structures.  Fibers are all of natural origin.  Often inspiration for her work comes from colors suggested by a painting, an experience, or a travel photograph.  Her aim is to achieve a balanced appearance in her finished work, without the design of the fabric being symmetrical.  Barbara likes to give the person who studies the piece a little surprise for his attention.
